CIA and British Intelligence has been trying to hack the iPhone for nearly a decade

It was during last September Apple event on launch of iPhone 6, Tim cook has revealed that they cannot provide data to government agency under any circumstances as they don't have any backdoor access on their platform. Apple claims it will never allow any government agency to access their servers. That might be the reason intelligence agencies working hard to crack iOS platform.

A new report emerged from The Intercept reveals that CIA and British intelligence has been trying from years to bypass the 'layers of encryption' on iOS platform of iPhone. The revelation sourced from Edward Snowden, gives detail for the first time just how focused the CIA has been in cracking not only the iPhone, but Mac as well.

There is no indication though how successful their attempts had been but it's safe to say that Intelligence agencies focus is on Apple devices.
