We've heard of iMessage which works without any cellular charges, we have a extremely popular app whatsapp which works just with internet connection, but here's a new messaging app 'Fire Chat' which can work without wifi or cell service. Unlike any traditional messaging app which needs some kind of network as mediator to send the messages to recipient, Fire chat sends directly to recipient building it's own ad-hoc network with help of in-built bluetooth and workable within 100 feet.
Firechat alternatively can work with available internet connection and works with bluetooth when there's no connection available. But, the only downside to this app is when the user is not under the limited distance, this app will need internet just like any other messaging app.
