Nintendo unveils it's plans for next console

March 17, 2015: Putting all rumours and speculations to rest, Nintendo announced that it's working on their next console.

At today's press conference, Nintendo briefed it's plans of moving into smartphone gaming. And the company's chief stressed on that fact that company will remain committed to console market despite their plans of smartphone gaming. The new console which is scheduled to be released in 2016 is codenamed 'NX'. The console is still in it's development stage. The more details on concept and design will be released next year, company spokesperson said.
