Square acquires canada based mobile payments startup Kili Tech

According to reports emerged in recode.net website, square has acquired a canada based startup 'Kili Technology'. This startup design the chip IC's, firmwares and hardware modules to help devices accept new forms of payments such as through NFC Payments.
This steps from Square surely an indication of it's intentions to introduce new device to meet the modern day electronic payment needs.
