April 29, 2015: Apple Watch already making waves with analysts prediction of 3 million sale, developers and startups want to tap this oppurtunity to make their presence felt in wearable apps market. A Tokyo based startup Pocket Supernova, who are 500 startup team behind VideoSelfie and Unda, has launched a messaging application 'WatchMe Messenger' for Apple Watch.
The co-founder and CEO of the startup Oscar Noriega explains its app as "video messaging app with contextual decoration and dynamic text animations."
He further adds, "We reused our prior experience and reconnected the dots. Unda helped us with messaging and Video Selfie helped us with the deco side. We combined everything we learned and squashed it together into this tiny little Apple Watch app."
WatchMe allows to send video messages from your iPhone to your friend's Apple Watch with contextual decoration feature. And it allows the watch user to conveniently reply by using custom animated emojis or by using voice to create animated messages with 'speech to animation' feature of the app.
The company's chief tell Tech In Asia on future scope of wearable apps market: "Everyone plays games on their phones now, but back in 2007 no one would guess that games would become a dominant platform. It's too early to say what would be the dominant(Apple Watch) category, but it's safe to say that one of them will be communication - be it messaging or social networking."
The app will be available on iOS platform and it's already appeared on mainpage of Japan App Store and Apple Watch section.
