In the battle of MayPac, Periscope wins the match

May 3, 2015: In yesterday's highly anticipated boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., an unusual player wins the match. If your answer is Periscope, then you guessed it right. Let me tell you why if you are not aware.
                       
The huge players of broadcasting industry HBO and Showtime has put some big bucks to get over the exclusive rights of broadcasting as pay per view.

So, those who got deep pockets has spent $99 to watch from comfort of their homes while rest desperately tried to search the online streams all over the internet, there Periscope came to the rescue.

Periscope is a live streaming application available on iOS and the video of the streams stays on timeline for 24 hours. The application grabs the limelight on Saturday night when users live streamed the fight of the century boxing match for free on the app, and guess what, the quality is as good as any standard definition video. 

                             

Meerkat is an another video live streaming app which created the similar worries for broadcasting companies.
