The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has declassified the once classified hundreds of secret documents, offering a sneak peek into the detailed investigation of possible alien life.

The documents includes the reports of Unidentified Flying Objects that range in date from late 1940s to the 1950s. The reports give hints to the people from both sides of the argument, for or against.

As the agency explains in their blogpost:
"To help navigate the vast amount of data contained in our FOIA UFO collection, we've decided to highlight a few documents both skeptics and believers will find interesting,"

While playing off with the hype of the Fox's popular TV series 'X-files', the agency highlights "five documents we think X-files character Agent Fox Mulder would love to use to try and persuade others of the existence of extraterrestrial activity."

One report says, "Less than 100 reasonably credible reports remains unexplainable at this time. It is recommended that CIA surveillance is continued." It is strongly urged, however, that no reports of CIA interest or concern reach the press or public.

Interestingly, in past, there are several government agencies including FBI came out with plenty of images and documents (you can browse here) which explains that there are 'other' folks in the universe apart from human beings.

According to documents, the eye witnesses claimed the rotating objects in a shape similar to "flying saucer" or "ball of light", and panel members met to discuss the same, but lack of sound data and reasonable explanation made them unanimously conclude that there was no evidence of direct threat to national security by this object sightings.

You can access the documents on CIA blog here.
