LG to launch universal payment card

According to the reports published in Korea's Electronics Times, LG Electronics plans to launch a universal card that links users' with debit and credit cards at one place. The said report also revealed the unofficial picture of the card.

The said card set to take the company's archival payment platforms Samsung pay and Apple Pay, and it will be called "White Card", claims report.

The card which looks like a normal card includes a small LCD screen, and two buttons at the right bottom that allow users to select between cards they want to use to make transaction. White card will also allow users to store loyalty cards like Costa Coffee Club Card etc. The card will be powered by a charging connector.

"Unlike Samsung Pay, card companies can manage everything on LG Pay since transactions do not go through LG Electronics' server and it is a platform that has many advantages for finance companies." said a representative for one of LG Pay's partner.

LG is currently testing the payments with many VAN companies for smooth payment linkage and is planning to introduce the product at Mobile World Congress 2016 that will be held next month.
